    Students 'Hungry For Justice' Fast, Urge Boycott Of Wendy's - 04-18-17
    By Doug Cunningham College students are spreading a fast for justice aimed at the Wendy’s fast food chain. Sarasota Florida New College students went on a five day fast in solidarity with fasting Ohio State students urging a boycott against Wendy’s. The fasting students support the Coalition of Immokalee Workers efforts to get Wendy’s to join the Fair Food Program.
    New Mexico Dems Vow To Keep Fighting After Gov Vetoes Wage Hike - 04-18-17
    By Doug Cunningham New Mexico House Speaker Brian Egolf says Democrats will continue to push to improve the lives of working families after GOP Governor Susana Martinez vetoed minimum wage increases. The House bill would have increased New Mexico's minimum wage of $7.50 per hour to $9.25 per hour. A state Senate bill would have hiked the minimum wage to $9 an hour.

    By Doug Cunningham As worker issues get addresses by Trump and Republicans in Washington AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka says the labor movement's job is to let workers know how those policies impact working families. And Trumka says if workers get the truth of how they are being affected you will see more worker unity on issues all workers have in common.
