According to a 2014 report by Americans for Tax Fairness, Walmart gets an estimated $6.2 billion in subsidies every year, most from the Federal Government.
So you’re not just paying your taxes, you’re paying for Wal-Mart’s $6.2 billion in various federal tax subsidies. The Wal-Mart tax includes federal tax breaks along with money low-wage Wal-Mart workers get from various federal programs since Wal-Mart doesn’t pay enough for them to live.
