    By Doug Cunningham

In an ongoing Department of Labor hearing process Google is being charged with widespread, systematic gender wage discrimination.

Google denies it discriminates against female workers.

But in the proceedings in San Francisco, the U.S. Labor Department says Google is guilty of "extreme" gender pay discrimination. And the allegation asserts that the discrimination is systemic throughout Google.

The Labor Department is seeking more information to understand why this gender discrimination exists.
