Los Angelinos are voting Tuesday on ballot Measure S - a two year moratorium on city construction projects.
Ron Miller is Executive Secretary for the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building & Construction Trades Council, which opposes Measure S.
[Ron Miller]: “It’s basically an anti-growth measure, well funded by the AIDS Health Care Foundation.
The gentleman that runs the AID Health Care Foundation - Michael Weinstein is a real estate owner - there was a project next to hs that was gonna go up. And he couldn’t work out an amicable agreement with ‘em, so he spent millions of dollars to put this on the menu for the election Tuesday.”
The LA Building Trades say if it passes it could cost thousands of jobs.
