Wisconsin AFL-CIO, Fair Trade Coalition Urge Rep. Ron Kind To Vote No On TPP

By Doug Cunningham

The Wisconsin Fair Trade Coalition joined the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, environmental and family farm representatives Monday to call on U.S. Rep. Ron Kind to vote no on fast track authority for the trade bill. Bill Brockmiller is President of the Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO.

[Bill Brockmiller]: “The TPP itself is bad for working families, it’s bad for environmental groups, it’s bad for family farms.”

And Brockmiller says no matter what’s actually in the Trans Pacific Partnership trade bill, fast track authority guts democracy as Congress considers whether or not to pass it.
