NNU mobilizing nurses for typhoon response

The National Nurses United union is using its Registered Nurses Response Network to mobilize RN’s to go to the Phillipines to help with the typhoon relief efforts. National Nurses United’s Liz Jacobs.
[Liz Jacobs]: “We put out a call through our National Nurses United network, We’ve gotten about a thousand registered nurses from a span of ten countries and fifty states, putting priority on people that have specialty skills that’ll match the needs on the ground as well Filipino nurses who speak the dialect of the area.”
Jacobs says an advance team of nurses is being sent to assess the best way to deploy nurses ove the coming weeks and months to continue helping with the recovery effort.
