More than 100,000 on strike in South Africa

Strike action continues to spread in South Africa. Strikes that began at gold mines and in the automobile manufacturing sector have now spread to airports and construction sites. Nearly 200,000 workers have downed tools in the nation and in all cases the workers are seeking better wages. Combined the industries account for 15 percent of South Africa’s economy.
