Thursday saw the fourth “unity break” by Santa Clara County, California employees. Jesse Russell reports:
Santa Clara County saw a fourth day of action by workers who are demanding a fair contract that supports public services and the community. SEIU Local 521 has been organizing “unity breaks” where county employees don purple shirts and to bring attention to the contract negotiation. The workers chanted, sung, and took turns explaining why they were part of the union and were seeking a fair contract.
